The Junk Yard Dog features a blade made from the composite of two steels, 13C26 and CPM-D2, with a copper accent separator. The knife opens easily with Kershaw's Flipper opening system, and locks into the frame safely. The real dog bite from this knife is seen in the Textured black G-10 handle that provides a strong grip in any weather.
I like it.Reviewed by D. spitcaufsky, 2010-01-08
- Heavy, I feel naked without a thumb stud, In "MY OPINION" the
action isn't smooth until opened a few thousand times even after
lubing. Clip has a point almost and could really mess up your car
interior or rip a couch if not careful.
+ I love the size. The handle is nice. The blade is the perfect
size for the handle and has a nice shape. Razor sharp out of the
box. Holds an edge and sharpens up nice. Overall a nice knife. I'm
looking for a full composite blade next to lighten the load. I tend
to keep this around the house, and find myself using it a lot.
GREATReviewed by S H-C, 2009-05-05
I have a very big knife collection it is over 460 knives and I only
have the best knives most are over 200 dollers but I made an
exeption with this knife after I felt one at a gun and knife show.
This knife is one of the best knives I have ever purchased. It is
strong, sharp, good loking, and and is very easy to open. The
flipper system is just wonderfull. The composite blade may look a
little flimsey but it is really one of the strongest sharpest
knives I have ever owned and it looks great.
I have had two of these knives the first one i used it for about
two years and finally lost it. The second one i got three weeks ago
and I am stilol very satisfied.

JYD2 CB Rules!Reviewed by Flyboy7905, 2008-11-16
Great functional knife easy to use, sharp and with style. Bought as everyday carry and utility knife but sometimes I find this beauty, well almost too nice for everyday work. Used my JYD2 today on my daughter's 7-pt buck and easy-out, good weight, strong and sharp for initial cleaning. Started skinning to see how it handles and if blade was too thick; nope, works great again. Gave it to my 20 something daughter for reminder of her 1-shot-1 kill trophy. Now I gotta get another for me. My 2nd composite blade: have Cold Steel Master Tanto San Mai for 18+ years and it's great too. JYD2 CB; get one, you'll love it.
